11 June 2000 Radar and Lightning

Here I plot ~5-minute radar and lightning (NLDN plus LMA) data for the 11 June 2000 MCS case from STEPS (2200-2300 UTC only for right now). These are just quick-look images to understand the basic evolution. This case featured some horizontally propagating flashes in the stratiform rain region trailing the leading convective line.

Radar data are mostly from CSU-CHILL (one image is from S-Pol), LMA lightning sources (decimated to 10% total population) are magenta dots, +CGs from NLDN are blue + signs, -CGs are blue squares or triangles.
