I’m a radar meteorologist, so I spend a lot of my time collecting and analyzing weather radar data. I’m particularly interested in understanding the air circulation patterns and microphysical properties of precipitating clouds. I enjoy field work and the opportunity to visit new places and study clouds in different environments.
Other interests: geology and outreach education associated with the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow (CoCoRaHS) network. When not at work, I try and spend as much time as possible enjoying the surrounding mountain scenery.
