Author's Kit and Poster Format

Poster Format

The pannels available to hang up the posters are 1 m wide and 2.50 m high. However, each poster should display the following reasonable maximum dimensions: width 1 m (mandatory), height up to 2 m (approximate). All equiment necessary to hang up the posters (velcro tape) will be provided at the reception desk.

We remind you that these pannels will be available from June 8 (Sunday) 16 h 00 (4:00 pm). You are requested to leave the posters exhibited during the whole conference. They will have to be removed on Friday (June 13) afternoon.

 

Format for Conference Proceedings Papers

Extended abstracts must be received by April 1st, 2003 The authors whose abstracts have been selected for presentation at the 12th International Conference on Atmospheric Electricity (ICAE 2003) are required to submit a short paper (4 pages maximum) to the Conference Committee by April 1, 2003. Authors should carefully follow the submission guidelines below to ensure that their paper will appear in the conference proceedings. All manuscripts must be submitted electronically to:

Page limit

The length of all papers must be 4 pages or less. Papers longer than 4 pages will not be published in the conference proceedings

Fonts and Style

All text in the paper should be typed using a common serif font (preferably Times) and a type size between 10 and 12 points. Text within the body of the paper should preferably be justified (typed with a ragged right edge is acceptable). An example showing the format and style for the text, paragraph spacing, headings, figures, equations, and tables for this paper is attached on a pdf file. All papers will be gathered in a CD-ROM. Therefore photos, plots, and diagrams can be displayed in color. However, the hard-copy of the proceedings will be edited in black and white. Make sure that the choice of colors leads to a corresponding grayscale that allows a good comprehension of the figures.

The paper must be submitted on "A4" (210 x 297 mm) format. The margins are as follows:

Electronic submission procedure

All papers must be received by the ICAE 2003 Committee by April 1, 2003 to ensure publication in the conference proceedings. Authors must adhere to one of the specific formats described below. The Conference Committee will only accept the following:

  • Format 1: Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf)
  • Format 2: Microsoft Word (.doc)
  • Format 3: Adobe PostScript (.ps) with embedded fonts

Do not send separate files containing images or figures. Use a word processing software to insert the images before converting the document to an electronic file corresponding to one of the above mentioned formats.
