I am currently starting a job as an Associate Scientist II in the Research Applications Laboratory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. There I will be working on projects related to surface transportation and convective weather. I am also a graduate student in the Atmospheric Science department at Colorado State University, where I am part of the radar meteorology group. My research there focuses on statistical analyses of lightning and radar data and regional differences between storm structures and lightning. I have also had side projects in sprite lightning and the summer monsoon in Taiwan. Additionally, I enjoy storm chasing and editing photo and video from those exursions. Overall, my interests include:

  • Radar meteorology
  • Lightning
  • Mesoscale meteorology
  • Forecasting
  • Weather history
  • Outreach and education
